Ok, so the shop helped out with another thrust plate and it fitted...so jumped back into the build. Haven't resolved the plate mystery but bigger fish to fry at the moment. So got the cam and timing chain fitted, then started to roll the crank over to check lift...WTF? It stopped dead again! Discovered that the crank now hits the hi energy sump, man this thing is fighting me. Guess its time for a hammer. Pics as usual;
