A windage tray is only to stop the oil sloshing away from the pickup on hard cornering isn’t it? They would have gone to dry sump in touring cars back in the day but rules prevented it?
All EFI from VP had a windage tray according to same book. The Group A one had a baffle for the “special” pickup apparently. It looks much the same as the one Axister put up though.
Looks like the best option to just cut it out
