Not sure about XY5 But:
XW5 = Outback Equipment Package
XY7 = Special Appearance Feature Items
The people working at GMH don't know shit from clay when it comes to their older production vehicles.
XY5 is the white stripe option on HQ and HJ Sandmans.

Yeah, I didn't even have to look that one up fortunately as I'm lying in bed in a motel at Narribri browsing on the IPad. Be in Brisbane tomorrow for a week.

See Sean what happens; you own one and care enough to know it off by heart. I spent last weekend (4 days) on the Gold Coast visiting relo's.
And once again GMH throws another curve ball.
Thanks for nothing.....
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
It isn't a curve ball, it is what Sean says - the bulk of people at Holden today don't know sh!t fron clay with respect to GMH's vehicles. XY5 is a valid code, but irrelevant to HZ just as XU3 in the form we know it means nothing to HQ.
Thanks for clearing that up guys you learn something everyday here![]()
A letter of authenticity from GMH is worth LESS than the paper it is printed on.... A letter of authenticity from Byron would give far more creedence.....
Any idiot can read tags ...... And that is all you get from GMH, they decipher your tags and tell you it was such and such when it "left the factory" so no guarantee it is still such and such now. Better off relying on the people on forums who do proper research and actually know what they are talking about such as Byron, Dr Terry etc.
