Hi guys, restoring a sandman van at the moment and the colour comes up at pagwood satin mist, wanting to know if anyone else has a sandman the same colour or is it rare to have one this colour. Any help would be appreciated. Was thinking of colour change.

It won't be a Pagewood body in Satin mist. Pagewood only assembled HJ's, Elizabeth painted them. Satin mist is a great colour, one of the best in HJ. I'd keep it original.

Can you show us your tags and we will let you know the colour.

thanks,the model is hj8wm70,body is 3686198, trim is 1901-19v paint is 567-15947 l32-m20-gu4 the last 5 numbers came up as satin mist 15947 according to the paint shop. cheers

Body number is 368619B. It is an Acacia Ridge build 11/75 XX7.

1901 is Satin Mist metallic.
19V is black vinyl trim.
Driveline was 4.2L HC engine, 4spd and 3.08:1 rear axle (check it is M20 and not actually M40).

Chassis number will be BHJ1979xB

One of the members on this site (Trash?)had a HJ in Satin Mist he sold about 12 months ago. Kicking my self that I didn't buy it, missed it twice now...

keep it satin mist.. I had a HJ stato that colour with black trim really set it off..
makes a change from the common HJ sandman colours like absinth / Jamacian Lime and Mandarin..

its the best looking silver too, I would have satin mist over the other holden silvers like Aztec silver , asteroid silver and the current quicksilver on the commodores

the satin mist seems to appear really dark in low light conditions like right on dusk and hasn't really dated as a colour
