Having taken note of all the fantastic advise on front disc and caliper upgrades I have decided to ( for the time being) simply fit a new set of drilled and slotted discs and a good set of pads and new shoes and cylinders for the rear. total cost about $300. Also as already planed but not mentioned a new twin diaphragm booster and master cylinder.
Once again I am overwhelmed by the wealth of advise being offered so freely.
    Cheers Nathan.
    Revision!!!
After doing some research It would appear that drilled and slotted rotors in todays world of improved friction materials are no more than a fashion statement.
So the extra money for the fancy rotors will be added to the pad budget.
