Wtb - hq sandman v8 ute

I know they don't grow on trees but I'd like to buy a HQ Sandman V8 UTE. Not fussed on colour engine combos but would like one as orig as possible- chassis rail must match tags. pay fair market $$ commensurate with condition. PM me if you have one or any leads. Prepared to fly interstate. Thanks

mate the phone has been ringing off the hook! NOT

i can't even find a v8 3-speed manual. checked gumtree, wreckers in the east, ebay etc and made close to 20 calls perth. in the end I find a bloke 4 hrs north of perth with 5 of them but he wants blood money! trouble finding a gearbox; dont like my chances of finding a ute although I have had two HQ Sandman utes slip through my fingers in the last 12 months soooo you never know

whats a3 sp manual box worth? the old days we just kept them for the front shaft for the 4sps and the rest went to the tip

Vombil I'm pretty sure i have a v8 3spd in my shed if you can give me some numbers to check i can have a look for you.dont know what freight would cost from townsville.

Vombil, is that 5 hq sandman utes or 5 hq V8 utes North of Perth?

v8 3 speeds have the longer shaft and sleeve. sleeve is twice the length of the 6cyl. he has 5 x v8 3 speed boxes... 5 HQ V8 or Sandmans utes; wouldnt be publishing that on the WWW!

freight would be around $100 i think. they are the same as a 6cyl but with longer v8 shaft. ribbed case and no reverse linkage on the passenger side as the 4-speed has.

i had a quick look in the dark Vombil but none the wiser,if you can pm me your mob i will take a couple of pics for you tomorrow .there is a v8 bell 3pd [ written on it] bell housing there but gearbox not attached.

found one in perth but $300 plus a beer to pick it up bit of a drive but going down there over the weekend if interested let me know
