    Early HQ by the looks. That engine wouldn't run too well as it has a sealed filler cap and almost certainly a PCV on the LH rear so the crankcase wouldn't be able to breathe and always be under -ve pressure.

    The LH rocker cover remained the same part number for HT-early HQ, so I think the round pressing must appear during HG so they can be used for HQ engine production during HG.

    It ran alright in my Torana years ago lol. I'll have to have a look and sus it out. From memory it's a VR-prefix block. Thanks for the info.
