ok adam,you started this but havent backed it up with anything...:confused:
HQ CONSOLES..2 bodies..1 has a small square at the rear to take the floppy belts and the other has a large hole in the centre for storage..both have a flip up lid at the front..differences in these consoles is supposed to be small hole non inertia seat belts,large hole inertia reel seat belts,some say its early and late consoles.i never have got a definate answer from either parts books or gurus...flip up lid carries on into hj etc..
HJ CONSOLE.. has padded armrest at rear..takes the same inserts at the front as hq...flip up lid and seperate insert for auto manual..pic below has hj console body at top..at bottom is hx hz console body..note the inserts will not interchange
HX HZ console..looks the same as hj but has a 1 peice insert for auto/manual section with coin slot in the front for autos..the bodies are different for hx hz and the inserts from hq hj do not fit these console bodies or vice versa..inserts in pic below are for hx hz and wb kingswood with bucket seat option.PLEASE NOTE..the pic makes them look different sizes but they are not..
LH LX TORANA CONSOLES have a different lower body to suit the floor pan of the torana..
WB KINGSWOOD COMMERCIAL consoles are the same as hx hz but have a hard plastic lid and mounting which is unique to wb..pics will come later.
