    Rivets on Holden ID plates

Hi, just trying to work out what type of factory rivets should be used on a hq. The ones I'm looking at are more of a aluminium blob rather than a rivet. I thought this style rivet was for earlier Holden's, or is it more to do with the factory where the car was produced. Thanks

HQ had the earlier style rivets with a blob of putty in the hollow section, HJ onwards were pop rivets.

I think some very early HJ's had the early rivets too, pretty uncommon though.
