Maybe as I predicted earlier the bid was raised to find the reserve and then has been withdrawn or maybe the bidder is reading the posts on this site and the car doesn't look as attractive as it first did. Still a good buy though I reckon!! I just had a look at the bids and the high bidder retracted a bid of $1999.00, back up to $1200 now with the reserve not met.

I've also seen people pay over that current price for Sandman tags and a set of rails for a less desirable combo than this one is, this one has some goodies on it as well.

Yep, someone paid $1500 for my rusty old HX Sandman, 253 4sp just for the tags and chassis....

I have just been told from a reliable source that this van was purchased from someone not long ago for $500 stating he wanted to restore it. The reliable source told me he had tried to buy it for parts, but it had been promised to the person selling on ebay. Obviously thinks he will make a Quick buck by immediately selling on. It's pretty much had it and would need a re body, and a Lot of work and Tags do match, perhaps he has someone bidding for him to raise the price.

She's an enigma. It's even got a kingswood grille in it. Absolutely blows my mind. People have been wetting themselves over Sandmans now for minimum 20 years and someone still let this one get to this state. Looks like the seating capacity is a back to front 3. At any rate GTS dash $600. Twin headlight front apron only $400. Steering wheel $250. Maybe top tailgate depends who's selling it $200 up too oh I don't know $1000. Handy parts mobile.
