Whats wrong with you blokes cashing in are we
Hope he gets his money obviously a lot of work has been put in that Van
i'd own that. no question... if i won lotto! The difficulty i've found (from personal experience) is that lots of people have $5,000 to spend on a rust bucket needing full resto and can afford to chip away during the build only to end up spending another 50-80g's. You could cut your market by 5000 times for those who have $50,000 in the kicker ready to buy the finished product... hence you never seem to make your money back (if you have no skills yourself)

Great van and a credit to the owner...hopefully mine will be on the road in similar sate of repair in the New Year...booked in for paint in November. I agree that buying a van like this is a lot quicker and probably a bit cheaper but is the reward as satisfying as doing the majority of the work yourself during the rebuild! My grandson lives for the weekend when he is in the shed with me restoring the Sandman. A build over time and, depending on your skills and circumstances is an easier proposition for many than a purchase of a ready made van. Remember the old bumper sticker..."Built Not Bought". But hey..if I didn't have any attachment to my van and wanted a Sandman I would definitely be interested in this van. One thing surprises me though, if you are putting this kind of an effort into a build why not use all the factory specs for the interior and such. Just my thoughts as I know personal preference is an option.
