    Source for parts

Just starting a complete restoration on a 77 HX Sandman. I'm in the United States and could use some direction. Can anyone refer me to a good source to purchase parts for the restoration?

Don it is very unusual to have a person from the USA inquiring about a Holden Sandman and parts.

Your website deals with antique car restoration which also raises a few eyebrows from me as the Admin of this site on how genuine your request is.

Please tell me more about this HX Sandman you have in the USA and maybe even provide a photo or two, then we would be very happy to assist you in your search for parts.

Classic Oz Wreck would be a good starting point.

Let's find out if this is a legitimate user account first.

Already had two spammers register today and it maybe just coincidental that someone signed up back in 2012 wants this information now.

Here is a photo of my Sandman. The VIN tag number is 8M70TGH931154X. I was told that this was the only Sandman in the U.S. but can't verify this. My main line of parts is 1909-31 model T and A Ford, my web site is www.snydersantiqueauto.com. I think I uploaded everything you need to verify the vehicle.

    Definitely a Sandman.

welcome to the site Don, some of the members here should be able to help out with sourcing any parts you may need. Greg from Classic Oz wreck will have a lot you may need, others here have bits and pieces.... Then there is always EBay, always parts for your Sandman on there.

interesting paint scheme on your Sandman... Are you going to keep that or return it to authentic Australian decals? What is the interior like?

oh, almost forgot.... There is also Rare Spares.... Some of their reproduction items are quite good like the new GTS steering wheels, 4sp shifter knobs, instrument lens kits, etc.

just ask about items you are after and someone will point you in the right direction.

Thank you for the help, the car is pretty complete but I want to replace all of the rubber, bushings, etc. I'm not keeping that same paint scheme, I'm still trying to figure out what color it was originally before I decide on a color. The previous owner didn't take very good care of the car, the interior was over-run with mice! Appears to still be the original interior but it all needs replaced. Thanks again for the parts sources, I'll check them out.
