sandman question for a holden nut

hi this is my first time on this forum here is my question when I was a lad my dad had a sandman panel van when I use to wash it the tail gate had the sandman logo pressed into the tailgate all my holden mates think im a nut just wondering if this was a custom job or were they there more like this from factory and if so has anyone got a photo so I can shut them up. dad sold his and I cant track it down, it was black n yellow any help will be good thanks Trav

As above. And there wasn't even Sandman on the tailgate for HQ, HJ and those later HX's and also HZ's that were optioned without stripes or logos.

dad said he got the van like that but it had been rebuilt before he got it must have been a one off custom would love to get my hands on is but it was 25 years ago don't evan have a rego number or photo any way thanks for the info

Quite a job to have sandman pressed into the tail gate. Still not an impossible task, the custom guy's were, and still are, alway's coming up with idea's to stand out from the other's.
