Yeah, Why hasn't someone produced an offset stud to do that job?
As Innuendo said, the wheels fit (steel ones anyway), but the tapered seat of the nuts won't fully engage in the wheel meaning that tightening the wheel nuts to the correct torque is difficult.
I know a lot of people that have done it though.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

You used to be able to buy offset wheel studs for Ford axles" with 4.5" PCD. They were 1/2" to fit on the Ford axles but had a 7/16" thread exactly 1/8" offset so if you put them in one way you'd have a 4.75" PCD. Spin them all 180deg and you'd have a 4.25" PCD. You can't get them anymore though.

    There is another option.
convert to larger ford studs and have the shop drill the new holes in the original stud holes but offset enough to give the correct patern.
A bit fiddly but probably the cheapest and 1/2 studs have to be an upgrade on 7/16.
