After a few recent acquisitions i'm one step away from the raw materials. I'm making a long glass covered photo frame cardboard background, cutout to take sets of ID tags. I now have a set of Monaro GTS tags for every Series HK-HX plus LE and HZ GTS. Except for HJ GTS coupe. I am only going to use one set of GTS tags for each Series for each body style, not bothering to get for example HG GTS, HG V8 GTS and HG GTS350 - just using a set of HG GTS tags. So the set will be:

HK GTS
HT GTS
HG GTS
HQ GTS coupe
HQ GTS sedan
HJ GTS sedan
HJ GTS coupe
HX GTS
HX LE
HZ GTS

If anyone has a set of HJ GTS coupe tags or knows who has some and would like to swap for something let me know. I was originally going to make a bar top but I think i'll do it as a wide narrow wall hanging that can later be made into a bar top by including the backing and glass into a bar top.

I'm only using the body and vin tags too as the HK and HT ones don't have one.

I might do one later for Sandmans but I may struggle to find some of the Sandman ute tags, have plenty of vans.

I may to a Torana one too, I have a set for every sports Torana except LJ GTR I think, maybe not a Brabham either.

Trouble with tags with cars is they get too valuable. I had a HT and HG GTS350 I bought for the tag collection but the cars went from $250 junk to $20k+ cars so too good to use the tags in a decoration. Same thing will probably happen with the L31 SS hatch that I bought years ago for the tags. Lucky I cut up the other stuff years ago or i'd end up with no tags!

I have heaps of L31 WB tags, not Kingswood though!
