I too would rather watch from the side lines however I am just wondering. Does hx8van believe that peoples comments here had an effect on the price of his sale? Is that why he is upset?

As flemenco said some people have strong views.
I have seen grown men at car shows almost come to blows over the location and colour of paint marks on nuts! (They were ford guys so a bit fun to watch)
In the end I hope hx8van can understand that and contributes to the forum.
I mean I love my poo brown HZ others hate it, whats it matter in the end I am the only person I have to please.
    Just my 2c

That's the most pertinent and overlooked question of this whole Jimmy Chu shoe throwing contest Wombat, that's exactly what I would love to know.

I have bought and sold vans that have been commented on by people here and for me personally, I have felt that it had no effect.

I don't mind feedback, its a way to gauge sentiment but it no way sets in concrete any clear outcome.

I listed the Van on this thread because it had appeal and thought others might be interested.
As for people having opinions on "it" or anything else that is entirely everybody's right. This what makes a discussion.

Some things I like about it, others not so much. But it's still a sweet looking Van. Hopefully the new owner joins in and leaves their handbag at the door.

It is a sweet van innuendo and thats the great thing.
You go to a show and shine and see some young guy who has spent $75000 on a drift car, or you see fiberglass kit car or some other thing that makes you stand back and say "there is no way in hell I would pay X for that!" but there is also the saying "there is a b_m for every seat" (made it PG for you blocker, luv your work, you rock). I am in no way trying to belittle hx8vans feelings. He put a lot of work into that van and may be thought people are laying Sugar Honey Ice Tea on his hard work. He may on hard times in the current climate and force to part with it. Not because he wants to but because he has too. We have all been there.
Anyway what ever the reason just remember we share a common interest, and a common goal, to preserve an aussie icon any way we each choose.

There is only two reason why some people complain about their cars for sale
If they felt they have been hard done by.
Or if they have been exposed for not telling the whole truth.
Remember this WWW thing makes the world quite small.

Don't let it bug you hx8van. It's the nature of any forum expert to talk up the one they have or are selling and talk down the ones for sale. Of late, it appears that WA and southern QLD are the used car yards for Sandmen. As such they're full of used car salesmen. They can crap on all they like about how bad coffin racks are, I couldn't picture mine without the one that's been on there since I got it.

Just remember the old saying. Money talks, bullsh!t gets put on the internet.

why put vans down is that what this forum is about if that's the case
panelvan hj on ebay now refused to send me update photo of car vic owned taralgon but nsw plates whats he hiding
So you do not recon you are not hard done by?
I gather that was the reason you got fired up in this instance?(you feel that your van does not deserve the flack it was getting?)
Your question of why?I guess we are all guilty at times(human nature)People forget that they are others pride and joy.
And people with a passion and know these vans well can spot things wrong with them(and what is right with them)
Spose at times we all have to build a bridge and get over it(is it really worth the stress?)
Best of luck with the sale.

    A fellow van owner
