Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Hi spike, did you do the body work yourself or ship it out always nice to know decent shops that come with recommends as looking at getting a few holes welded up in my van soon, thanks Ian
Thanks to all for your kind comments. I was very lucky to pick up this van in pretty good condition [ apart from needing a new front end and chassis - see beginning of thread ] it needed no panel replacement due to rust, it had very minor surface spots in a few places, this was all treated and then properly prepped for painting. the front end and lower body was painted in a shed and the upper van sides were done in a booth [ my mate had had enough and needed his shed back for another project !] The roof is in pretty good nick and hasn't been touched, but now I am thinking I should have had it done in the booth as well, probably get it done at a later date. Stripes are from the guy in Tassie and that colour combo just screams SUMMER. Stumbled across the GTS rims in the middle of nowhere - WA is a big state! - and sandblasted and re painted. I did it up to sell and make some dosh [ha ha] but when I saw it with the new front end in colour and rims on it I knew I had to have it for a year or 2. I have a pic before painting and will post as soon as I decrease the quality. It wont be a van of show quality but will look great on the road.

upper and lower tailgate was in really good condition with no rust and only a small dent to pull out of the lower
