None of the American cars compare in my opinion. Perhaps if they had been available new here and the poverty pack was available as well. They are only really known to muscle buffs. Where as a Sandman stood out to everyone because they were such an in your face car compared to a bog stock poverty pack Holden.
You could compare the build of the cars relevant to the standard cars I suppose. But it's pointless comparing them on the Australian market to Australian cars. In my opinion that is.
    Apples to oranges.
This is a Sandman site. Not a Sandman panelvan site. So comparing utes to vans is completely relevant.

That's fine, just a different opinion to mine. I'm not concerned if they are well known or not, only concerned with the value for money. Sandmans are great things but like some other Aussie stuff are currently over priced compared to what else you can buy for the money (hence my point about El Caminos and new or near new sports utes like XR6T or SS). I don't see any major future growth in Sandman values, it has already happened. So if you are buying to enjoy but keeping an eye on capital growth I personally don't think you'll find it is a Sandman. The value will probably be more in the enjoying owning it, or the restoration process. I can see SS El Caminos going up though in the future, especially big block ones.

Yes, comparing Sandman utes and vans is relevant, no-one said it wasn't. I said El Camino to Sandman ute is even more valid again.
