Red Bull Racing and Holden pair up for Sandman tribute

    http://autoaction.com.au/red-bull-ra...ndman-tribute/

THE MARKETING boffins at Red Bull Racing and Holden have paired up to create a race-spec tribute to the original Sandman.
Dubbed #ProjectSandman, the shooting-brake was designed as a homage to one of Holden’s most iconic vehicles.
Boasting 650 horsepower, the silver machine is sporting V8 Supercar rims along with two surfboards. Radical.
A flagship model during the 1970s, the Sandman van became a part of Australian surfing culture.

It's pretty much a "Red Bull", what ever that is...(When it comes to cars I mean, I know what a red bull is....)

Do my eyes deceive me or does that have a very short ute well on the back? It looks like a Suzuki mighty boy on steroids.

i wonder who's great idea this was I would be embarrassed to roll up to a break with a wannabe race car. Sandmans didn't pretend to be anything but cruisers. This concept is just wrong.

It is actually a good tribute to an FE-FC van ie a sedan delivery like a Chevy Nomad.
