I like it, bang on as far as branding for redbull using the sandman concept, but as far as 'the search' concept for surfing it's completely useless. I would think something like a converted adventure to a van would be more appropriate...
i like it. bit hardcore but mate if they are spending the $$ to recognise the aussie surf culture Im down with that! props!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trouble is they've missed the point, making it look "van-ish" doesn't instantly make it associable with a Sandman. A Thunder ute is already close to the Sandman idea. Just have to add a canopy to make it look like a van.
HA HA you guys remind me of the two old blokes that use to be on the Muppets! Just think of what your father would have said when the first laid eyes on a Sandman,"Look at all that BS on that van or ute". I dont mind it even though it is a sandwich board on wheels!
Remember this?

Same crap in a new bucket. It is a canopy on a Ute that makes it look like a Sportswagon. It bares no resemblance to a Panel Van let alone a Sandman.
The car itself I don't mind, but it has nothing to do with being a Van. If your into the Station Wagon look - then here's your ride!
Well we bag mock ups and what we consider over priced sandman.
Well I think it a good looking car weather a sandman tribute or
just a ute with a canopy. With the Easter van nationals coming
Up next year, I think it's good that a race team is getting onboard
To say "Hay remember these"! Forget your Monaro's and Toranas.
This is the one icon that is ours. Long live the SANDMAN!!!!!
Forget your Toranas and Monaros wash your mouth out id never
i like it but the paint scheme aint to my liking
my 2 cents![]()
Here is the original manufacture of the Centaur "Wagon" look canopy.

There some story that T8 (888) has actually made this one up in metal using a Sportwagon roof etc (True?).
Either way, doesn't look like a Panel Van at all.
