I know it isn't a Sandman, and it isn't even a GMH vehicle.

But it sort of puts into perspective for me the apparent high asking price of total resto required and incomplete Sandmans, especially the lesser engine varieties. Also for what people are asking for SLR5000's.

Only about 1400 made, and is complete, plus has all documentation.

A chap near me has a Papaya HX, all original running gear 308, 4 speed XX7, wants $4000, complete and utter rust bucket, needs a rebody and then some.

I agree she's rusty, and $4k is about top dollar for what is described above for that HX. I was more thinking about the total resto project Sandmans and SLR5000's I've seen for $10-$15k.
