This is really interesting thread, I know I have said this before and it's already been said here, it subject to what your interpretation of restoration is. Personally I know what work I have done on my van I would call a nut and bolt rebuild. Everything with paint has been bare metaled, and everything else has been re zinc plated. There are only 4 things that I haven't done yet and that's the hand brake cable, hand brake (I feel that this will change once on the road) the diff internals and the dash pad (both in exceptional original condition) both of the last two may be redone at some stage.. I would say my van is a nut and bolt resto, but there are still things I would like to change to keep the build more consistent.
I feel that the term full rebuild is more like full mechanical rebuild.
Then there is also the quality to which the work is carried out.
