Shame it's not a 'real' one but I guess it's still a pretty rare and very cool combination, and for the $ I know I can't go wrong.

HK the VIN is - 8M70TDH793876Q

Anything you can tell me will be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
Selling dealer was Sundell Motors in Chatswood, but it appears to be an ordered car as it was completed on 22/11 and sold in December. It is a reasonably heavily optioned van too, they've ticked:

308
LSD
Integrated A/C.

The only major mechanical option boxes they appear to have missed are M40 (trimatic) and N40 (power steering). So i'm not surprised it has U21 instruments, people who spent up on expensive mechanical options often ticked the cheap options like U17 dash and also wheel options. Console cannot be original, nor can the rear bracket as selecting M20 or L31 plus XS6 (buckets) on a HQ van deleted the seat separator that automatically came with XS6 and uses the same bracket as a console in HQ. If the console is original then the van may have been some sort of special thing built for someone inside GMH but still not a Sandman. Being Pagewood built it won't be an prototype or anything like that. Maybe if the owner was a worker there he may have got the nose fitted for him and the console added as well?

The chassis number will be very interesting for this one too, should be getting close to DHQ99999S ie the reset point when numbers went back to DHQ00001S. There will also be a number on the firewall above the heater box under the LH winscreen squirter hose hole, something like 98xxxS
