Alternator Brackets

I need to know if the alternator brackets on a HZ where zinc coated or not? Alternator Brackets.jpg

Zinc plated, I think.. I did mine gold, going to change them to silver though. I think that they were originally silver btw.

I know the small one is the gold coloured zinc on HQ not sure if it would have changed by the time it got to HZ

Looking at some pics I have of a concours HQ resto the bottom bracket is black and pretty sure this carried over as I have never seen them anything but black

concours not concourse! and black is also how I remember them. I used to get multiple per week in for chroming (back ni the day).

All the ones I remember were a dull silver like alloy, could be oxidised gold too. I think the power steer brackets were black. I have a box full of NOS bits like this somewhere I got off John Cain when he closed, he was looking at reproing it all hence why he'd bought all originals. A lot of them are gold. Mainly throttle cable brackets etc though.
