    Custom Backs in sandmans

hey guys , i was just wondering what are your opinion's on custom backs in sandman's , Ive seen plenty of pictures in the past where people have gone to the extreme of putting things in the back of the van as you can see by the picture inserted below , im thinking of doing a bit of work in the back of the van just to add to it a bit more , have any of yous got custom backs in your vans or just the original plain backs ? and if you have any interesting ideas id love to hear them

Ive inserted some pictures ive found recently of the interiors of some vans !

    Arch

We have put an arch in the Yellow van...plan to do something with some cupboards along each side so that the wheel arch is concealed and a mattress can but put in between the cupboards, bit of something on the walls to insulate...but that is about it....did see some bright flouro looking material and in leapard skin which was all fluffy like the over the top rugs which used to be used in the 70's and 80's, very blingy, and over the top though.....
I meant to copy the diagram cut out which we got out of a custom vans and trucks mag from the 70's, and the pattern fitted perfectly...so if interested I will post up the diagram and instructions....

    Now we are talking. :D
My HJ will have a more elaborate interior then what my HZ will have. The reason is my HZ has a back seat in it.
Just for the record, 1st van is Discoteque, 2nd van ??, 3rd van is Just cruisin', 4th van ??, 5th van is Checkmate.
Here is a link the 2 of the vans that have my favourite interiors

thanks agr , yeah id like to go all out and do some things to the back , atm i just have curtains and a bed just your run of the mill stuff , ive been considering getting the walls upholstered and having cupboards running down the sides mainly to cover the wheel arches like you said , but im also considering putting in a led star roof in the van , i cant find the exact picture of the one i want but its like the ones in the limo's kinda a bit like this but in car form

But the one that im interested in has different colored galaxies and shooting stars ,

The back of my van has been mildly decked out. I think it looks good not too over the top except for the person that did it put in laminated plastic roof lining with fairy lights behind it that is definatley coming down. I will post some pics tomorrow.

That blue roof is very preddy! Why would you pull it down! Crank the 80's tunes and no doubt it will all make sence...

The spare tyre is in the back due to dual gas tanks. The top roof lining is plastic with fairy lights under it. It's coming down as soon as I get the chance and know how. I am going to change it to the same black that is used throughout the back of van. getting a dvd screen to take the place of the lights in the arch. The tribal crap will probably stay as that emblem is etched into the centrecap of mags and gear stick and doors.. you get the idea

    Hi Luke
The back of my HJ Sandman. Pretty boring compared to some of the others.
I think i need to put a Bar in there somewhere lol. still got the original roof lining with a few repair from the previous tradie owners.

    cheers Rob.
