To have bought a van to "wreak out" it must be rough. Is it wreak out only condition? Remember sometimes old Holden's do get to this " good for parts only" stage. If so continue with the first idea using it for parts. considering you probley won't get much for it reselling it (condition dependent) and buying parts off Ebay, swap meets etc will blow out the budget. Food for thought. Your decision only in the end. Cheers.

Why would it be rough, I don't get that? The better it is the better it is to wreck for parts.

It is AHX Rodney. Two projects sound like twice the fun. I love me Utes, but hell, a Sandman Van's the " Ducks Nuts"! It's got rust, not fatal though, and I only paid $1500 for it.

Well for that price I would keep it and find another for the wrecking. When your ready to ether sell or restore you will get you bucks back plus some,I would think.

I was talking about rust and body damage. I have never yet "wreaked out" a holden for parts that I was worried about body condition. I was always chasing engine, gearbox, diff etc, when it comes to rust repairs I always use new steel to weld in. Or rares rust replacement panels.

I'm glad you think that I did well Rod, I have no idea of thier value, I guess that I got lucky twice then, paid $500 for the ute. I had just decided to do up a Hz ute, bought a $700 shitbox, and found the Sandman while hunting for parts. The Van I bought yesterday because I needed door trims, a console, GTS steering wheel and a left hand door arm rest. I guess that I bloody still need them now!
