    Missed the boat

I was on the lookout for a sandman (HQ) to buy but I think I missed the boat.

$70k man! I dont think you missed the boat, I think you just saved some bucks! There are still enough around, one will turn up for ya, dream up the car you want, visualise finding it stowed away, cheap in a shed somewhere, every night just before you sleep, imagine the person selling it knows exactly what it is but has decided to let it go and just wants someone who will look after it, relax on it, it will come to you. Know this, believe it and enjoy the thought. Eventually it will turn up.

Your URL link was to a HX (Ute) no HQ to be found?

Yes a HX, but if this is the price of a HX what would a desireable HQ be worth??

It is the asking price, the real value would be circa 25-30% of that.

To me this is an interesting topic. What is the guide price of a sandman, as they are not referenced in Unique cars magazine. With the applicable codes for condition. I have a HQ sandman & need to update my insurance, but for how much. I know all these cars are popular, what is the appropriate value on their condition.

Dave you are bang on the money with that. Patience is a virtue...but not as virtuous as determination
