I heavily worked a 253 in the 90s as a project (I worked in a machine shop). I liked it because it is almost square so if balanced and blueprinted they would rev like hell. Got great horsepower out of it back then. We could only test them against other cars, no dyno's. I beat and scared the crap out of more than a couple of brock commodores in my torana. I also built up a 202 that put most standard V8's to shame. Now days as above injected all the way.
