I'm getting my new BFG T/A's tomorrow....

Taking the van for a nice long drive tomorrow to pick up my new T/A's. I've been trying to find some for a while that were either available locally, or a dealer that would ship them at a good price, but with no luck until I found a bloke at Nowra that has them in the sizes I want. That's about a 3 hour drive each way, but a good excuse for a blast in the van.
I will also drop in at Supercheap Auto in Ulladulla for some stuff I need to really make the trip worthwhile.

So my van will have some mags on it for Xmas!
In fact, if the weather's fine on Xmas day, I might get a chance to rub it back and paint it.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

Yeah, I might take the camera and stop at a few spots along the way and shoot some pics. There are a lot of old historic spots on the Princes Hwy that would look cool with a van in front of them.

My mags are 14x 7 and 14x8, so I'm not going crazy, just 225/60 for the front and 245/60 for the rear. These will be my everyday wheels, so I don't want tyres rubbing the guards, but for the 8" wide GTS wheels that I'm also going to be using in the future, I may go a bit more "steamrollerish" if I can find something cool, like a set of Mickey Thompson's or similar.

I used to run 14x7 and 14x8 on my LX hatch with 245/50 and 265/50 TA's.
Great dry weather tyres, scary in the wet though!

    What a great day!
The van performed flawlessly even though it was pretty warm and we had the air-con on all day.
I got a nice little discount for cash.
I got some struts for the tailgate and some new wheel nuts at Supercheap at Nowra.
I found a really cool little wrecking yard that I've driven past a bazillion times and never stopped at.
And I've got a few pics....

Sure is, I had a good look around too.

The owner has a great HR van, a couple of Sandmans and is rebuilding a HQ van that he's just finished painting (Purr-Pull) that will be a beaut.

No HK, but I'm planning a return trip soon, so if you want I will see what's there.
