In that case, it would be like getting a copy of your birth certififcate, would it not?

Different story then, cuase the seller could explain that to the buyer, but the Dealer wouldnt do that anyway, not without factory backing or heaps of research and inspection of the car, they could be liable. Anyway, even if they did, they would still need to write/stamp or otherwise print on it that it was a replication/reconstruction of the original certificate. (I'ts not a copy its a reconstruction). And date it! so yep built 9/77 re-certified 2014.... hmmn, not bad, find a dealer who'll do it though, I doubt it, whats in it for them?... And of course it has to be the original dealer, pretty unlikely.

I am not sure if it is illegal to sell the blank certificate however. Possibly in each state and territory, it is, somewhere in the RTA and associated legislation, rebirthing vehicles etc.
It's certainly fraud to fill it out and provide it with a vehicle for sale without explaining that the document is re-created, and by whom, date etc.

How is a dealership going to confirm a vehicle? They couldn't confirm their own arse with 2 hands and a compass. Even if you could get them to give a sh!7 I reckon you'd struggle to find anyone there that knew even the bare minimum about these vehicles.

Shitty as. I have a an old style typewriter Gaddy bought for me as a Present and it would certainly be beneficial to type up a buy sheet. So people who are not kosher would deffo do the wrong thing and forge these.

I through a type writer out the second story window of a house I lived in with some mates in Orange years ago. There were letters and numbers everywhere. It was a real pain in the a&$e picking them all up the next morning with a cracking hangover.
