Should be covered under shop insurance (or by shop directly if they don't have insurance) if stolen whilst on their watch. Get some legal advice if shop doesn't offer this to you.

I reckon it has just been joy ridden. and it'll come back. VT's aren't worth much even in parts so the only motivation can be to get home or have some fun. Problem is it'll probably have been flogged to within an inch of its life, shame you can't get hold of those who stole it and do the same to them!

If it's been flogged that hard it's probably dead. It's got 330+ thousand k's on it and a decent oil leak. It suprises me every year when it passes rego.

years ago I sold my vs 5L ute to a mate of mine and it was stolen from him shortly after. they recovered it but apparently it had been given such a hiding that the ECU blew up!? Hope you get it back. They are a really strong unit if oils are kept fresh
