The owner has been really good about it. Wrote me a cheque today for it.
Turns out we know a few of the same people, which probably didn't hurt.
that's great news mate, no car back but at least your not out of pocket.
Wow! A dead-set honest bloke, doing the right thing...... a rare breed these days.
You should buy a Lotto ticket and when it wins (and with your new found luck it will), give him a cut.
Happy for you it worked out mate.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Yeah he's an old school bloke, been there a long time.
Good outcome anyway. No stuffing around with insurance etc.
A good end to an unfortunate incident. A real decent bloke.

Coppers found the VT a couple of days ago. Dunno what's happening with it yet.
But it has been replaced by an LS1 WK stato.

All that'll need is to get the shocks and brakes checked and repaired. Drain all fluids and replace and she'll be right as rain!
Also check the power steering pump. If it has ANY leaks replace it, they are cheap. If you don't it'll destroy the alternator below it and those are like $600 and a pain to change.
Very nice, can't go wrong with this. Luxury travel.
