Hi you are right it should have read 60V TIPO . I spoke to a bloke Monaro parts he called himself (last year) and he said that he thought that it was a kingswood sandman and that he knew where the ute was that came off the assembly line before it. I was not convinced because the twin headlights and chrome tie rails on the ute .
    Thanks Rick.

If the console shift is original it is a Sandman. If it wasn't a Sandman it would be column shift. Front has been replaced regardless of if it was originally a Kingswood ute or a Kingswood Sandman ute - they had the same front except Sandman got fluted guards.

There was no 60W trim in 1/75, not until about 8/75 and only on Holden ute/van and Belmont sedan or wagon with bench seat. Kingswood ute would be 60V regardless of bench or buckets from the start of HJ production mid 1974 through to about 5/76 when it changed to 60A. So it has to be 60V.

A very nice colour and driveline combo, very impressive indeed. The HQ plumbing van that I served my time in was nothing like this. Enjoy your ute, you have a very special vehicle.

    Cheers.
