I don't know what the rest of you think, but being a regular on this forum sort of feels like a club. I certainly spend more time on here than I spend at the golf club or sports club where I AM a member.

And I feel a friendly vibe from most regulars too, unlike the cliques that always seem to form at "real" clubs. Any regular on here would be welcome at my place and I know there's a lot of you that would extend the same invitation.

Feels like a club to me.....
I will hold you to that Rob if im ever over that way
    cheers

Don't know how to start a thread yet so I'll post here and hope it's ok. I have got onto a panelvan through a guy in the mine I work at. It's a HJ that has been almost fully restored. Not sure if it's a Sandman but I am getting some pics in the next few days. My problem is that it is stored at Helidon. That is between Gatton and Toowoomba. I can't get down there till April. So, would anyone be interested in having a look at it for me please. I have been browsing this site for about twelve mths now and I'm aware that Helidon is Flamenco_not_Flamingo territory. Can you help? Cheers, Lorraine

Be careful getting anyone around Towoomba to look at a van for you Lorraine. If it turns out to be a good deal they'll probably buy it themselves.

That would take 4 dole cheques to be saved up.

Gee, sensitive bunch. That's a warning for anyone in any area looking for a van. Gotta be careful posting about deals on the internet where everyone is watching. There's big money at stake if you can pick up a Sandman at a non-sandman price. It might look like I singled out Towoomba as some hotbed of crime, but we all know there's been a lot of vans sold and bought there recently. How many of them were flips I don't know, but obviously that area has a lot of people keen on Sandmans and have the cash. You gotta be careful. It may not be the guy you get to go look at it, it could be his mate or work colleague who finds out and goes and puts in an offer first. People are ruthless when it comes to these cars, almost more so than with Monaro's because it's easy for a seller to think they have nothing special and sell at a bargain price.
