Go Karting...anyone up for some track days?

Yep, the go karting bug has bitten big time. Recently got a Monaco GP4.....great kart....perfect for a bit of fun.

Anyone else here have a kart? Would be fun to hit the track with you guys and make a day of it.

If youre in melbourne, let me know and we can met up and have a blast

Just the thing to unwind after long days at work. Another guy at the track had a radar and clocked me at 98kmh down the straight.....feels like 180 when you're so close to the ground

Carting is big here at Emerald. They built a flash new track and facilities here a few years ago. I have an hour at the Big Kart Track down near Landsborough in the Sunshine coast hinterland every year or so when we're down that way. A lot of fun.

I had a go on the big 2 stroke track next to the M1 motorway in Lake Macquarie at Cameron Park. Totally different experience to the 4 stroke karts. Track is 1.2kM long so speeds can get up there around 100kmh, agree it feels faster!

The local track has a 70m straight....so it gets just under 100kmh pretty well. Another money pit of a hobby though.....already stocking up on tyres etc etc

Just think if you put blades under it how quickly you could mow a lawn!
