Well I finally had someone offer to have a look at the van near Helidon for me. A very kind forum member from Toowomba helped me out with some pictures as well. The owner is apparently moving on to other things and wants it gone. It's not perfect but is registered, drives well and has a new paint job and an auto which suits me. I spoke to owner on the phone and $10k will buy it. Do you think that is fair. The gentleman who looked at it says if I don't take it he will.

Cool, an undeniable auto Sandman van. Very uncommon outside of L31 M41 driveline. And in metallic too. Lots of the L32 M40 cars around this time with 2.78:1 rear axles had LSD centre as well.
Someone has gone to a lot of effort to clean that body ID plate, they are supposed to be covered in paint and red-lead and black goo.
Its chassis number will be around high BHJ22xxxB, possibly into the early BHJ23's.
