I just came home from Bathurst Holden and was told today is the last day for dealer orders. They agreed it is a ridiculous ordering method.
Basically they said required models will need to be sourced from other dealers as the customer demand come is.

That said, Holden will run them again if the demand is there.

I also took a look at the Lowndes Special build tag and was told the Sandman one should be similar. The Lowndes version had Lowndes SSV and then the build number.
I asked if the Silver was Nitrate and told no; it had a different name but they had no colour samples etc. I assume it's not Prussian Steel grey.

Sandman Black SSV Auto Ute $50600 drive away.
Sandman package added around $2900 to the base price.

Bathurst Motor Group have ordered 6 in total. Only one destined for Bathurst yard itself I was told.

So 3G for a sticker kit, some bigger wheels and a compliance plate. Sounds about right!

Local dealer ordered a wagon and ute , both 6s. Said it was 3k more than an SSV. They're expecting more news around April.

Production run is June/July.... So you'll have approx 2 months to order one.

I could be wrong Alien but that's not how I heard it. It's dealer order only and that ended at the end of Feb. So if your dealer ordered one for your of your choice you should be laughing but if you didn't order one yet then it'll be first in best dressed for what the dealers have left. I could be wrong but that's how it was explained to me from two different dealers.

From what i understand, the cut off for dealerships was late Feb. Theyre the vehicles they'll have in their showroom right when Holden announce it to the public. You can still put a deposit down for one right now if you're happy with the idea of buying sight unseen. And orders will still be taken when its announced...how long for after that is anyones guess. To be seen if the production run will be longer than 2 months....that will depend on sales i guess.

When i asked them how much interest people have shown, they said 'Mate, you arent even supposed to know yet'. So far the 2 dealerships i have been to, no one has asked about them let alone put a deposit down.

Do you think the V6 will sell over the SSV ?
