Thanks!
I found the poster you were talking about for Sandman purchasers.
James Bailey (Stomp) Print.

Well there you go. It just may be gospel after all.

I suppose by limiting build numbers Holden ensure it will be a success, but why no big promo? I wonder with a release date for June, wouldn't it be cool if a big promo came out for State of Origin (etc). But if build numbers are limited to 200, I suppose thats the answer. Holden could make a sensation out of that ute however, if they wanted to.

When Alien and I visited GMH last month, they told us about the one/off build plate poster for purchasers. They will also have brochures soon, I'll get one for you Byron when they arrive.
I have a limited number of promo posters and I wont be selling them for $50, I was thinking of doing another mySandman tshirt run and doing something with the posters together.
Holden marketing are already talking about a Series II for the next year, as yet nothing confirmed.
Thanks Blocker. I am convinced they'll do another Sandman run if the early ones sell out quickly which it looks like they will. Hopefully they don't upset buyers of the early ones like they did with the VS SS ute when the second run of 300 had a far better engine than the early ones and from memory were $2000 cheaper. Something like a HSV spec engine to set the next Sandman apart!
I may be interested in the shirt/poster combo. As for the Series II I think we all gathered that this would happen. Although how many Series I buyers will be doing their best to get into a series II without losing too much cash?
That's good to know. I hope that Holden is a little more realistic then what James sells his range for. His price on ebay is normally around $100.00
One thing: I hope all these build plates are numbered.
Been giving this a lot of thought and as I ordered a VF Sandman with the intention of it being the 'last' one made , I now have a decision to make and I need some help from you guys in the know. Seeing as 'we all gathered' that a Series II would happen 'except dumb old me' my question is , should I bite the bullet and cancel the Series I and wait for the Series II in 2016 or even the Series III in 2017 ?

That's a tough questions with so many variables. What if they don't release a series II, will you be able to get the 'last one'?
The VF Sandman was created on a whim from some guys in the Elizabeth plant, then marketing got involved. Who knows how Holden think these days, other than 'how can we squeeze a few more bucks out of the public'.
Over the years I have bought more new Holdens than I care to remember but I have never considered that Holden has ever ' squeezed a few more bucks from me' as buying a new car is completely voluntary.
