Do the rear seats fold down flat in the wagon ?
Do the rear seats fold down flat in the wagon ?

My money is on the 2001 V2 and the first of the HSV GTS coupes being the ones people will want in 2030 (if they are even still viable cars). Monaros have always been this way, when they are young people wanted the latest ones - HG were preferable to HK, HX LE were more popular than HQ, HZ GTS over HQ GTS. But today the HK and HQ are the desired cars. No doubt the later cars are usually the better cars though and VZ over V2 in this respect is no different.
I haven't been on this forum for ages, but thought it would be interesting to see the response to the announcement of the new Sandman's and really it's just confirmed why I'm not as active onsite anymore. It's great that everyone has an opinion, but that's it, it's just YOUR view. You don't have to convince everyone to think like minded. Personally I think, good luck to anyone who buys a new Sandman Ute, or Wagon. I bought my old one for the love of the car itself, not to tick any boxes and would consider, doing the same again if I could afford to. I bought my HZ Panel van at that time because it was more suited to my lifestyle rather than the ute and I preferred the look of them (different). So therefore probably for me the wagon would be the go. Yeah I would like a brighter colour option and yes maybe the larger "Sandman" decal on the back, but it's nice to see an iconic Australian name revisited and it's certainly brought all Sandmans back on to the discussion table!! Just love the old and the new for what they are, cool cars.

I can fit a 6'4" surfboard in the back of my VE with the rear seat down, the back cargo area narrows out but I reckon you'd sleep two without to much trouble - supposed to be cosy isn't it![]()
