It has to be built to a standard where body flex testing takes place. Along with collision protection considerations where certain areas need to be directional upon impact.
Welds to a standard on approved steel thickness. Welds must be interrupted on any angle change to prevent stress cracks chasing (should that ever happen).

I would never buy a muscle car unless it was a manual, unless second hand and didn't have a choice. I don't get why manual is cheaper.
