    Cool story Big Rob. Don't get me wrong, i love Barnsey but just couldn't picture him in one of these.

    Anyway, regarding the car, was the fuel injection any good in those days as compared to carburettor?

    It was but the twin 4BBL was initially as good or better. By the 60's and the time of 327 it had more. I think these were the famous 375hp 327, L84. I don't think these went as hard as a 1970 LT1 (rated 370hp) but still were awesome. This is where the original "fuellie" heads originated. IIRC the injected 283 ran powerpack heads, like a 361 fuellie but smaller valves. I think I have one of those engines in my shed, but maybe only a single 4BBL Carter.
