What do you want a temp guage for? The three-on-the-tree 202 weapon was soooooo quick your eyes were glued outside... No time to look for anything like that, but it did have a light that used to glow on and off during family summer holidays towing the caravan in bumper to bumper north coast traffic.

Voms, I was thinking after I posted that it occurred to me that there were extra vents as well as forced air in that dash. I had a HJ wagon (202/3 speed) with front and rear benches like that dash in the late 80's/early 90's. Could leave it anywhere with the windows down and the keys in it and it never got knocked off.
    Nunc est bibendum...

I guess a globe is cheaper than a gauge.

That is a mid-luxury dash as it is a Kingswood. HJ Belmont or HJ ute/van/tonner dash is the poverty dash.

202 is luxury too, and that Kingswood got front discs standard and carpet too. Belmont and base commercials got a 173, front drums and rubber mats. Plus none of that special flash vinyl!

That is a stock HJ dash, looks almost as bad as a stock HQ dash, and the same disfunctional wipers and high beam.

We are lucky they nailed the sports dash from HJ onwards. Clearly the standard dash is rubbish in all series, especially HQ.....

no mate. just a light to tell you you've cooked it... will flick on the same time you see steam chugging out the bonnet. Same as povvo HX and HZ though. temp switch, not sender
