Slowly making a start on my new hz xx7 project

Hi guys, bit of an intro: I'm a novice on the forums.
I brought the xx7 palais white sandy off lcgtr1970.
I finally got away from work to go spend some time on it. I made a list of thing I need. Panel beaters spent a couple of days straighten the chassis while me and dad collecting parts from our collection. Found some good hanging panels and quickly screwed them on to check panel gaps and all good.
Because I don't have the original 253 with the car I've decided that I would put a 308 combo with original 4 speed. I quickly slapped together a 308 from parts I had out the back. A fresh 308 .040 flat tops about a stage 3 cam. Fresh reco b cast heads. reco Brock manifold. Engine will look totally stock from the outside.

I've never done an original resto before so this will be a learning curve for me.(apart from my dynasty gold hz prem but that was mostly finished wen I got it)
I want to do full original except engine, extractors, lowered and 8" gts rims on rear. I'm super keen to get stuck into it. You guys can check out my past cars I've done in my photo collect

The pano has been quickly assembled so I can freight it to perth where I live. If anyone knows of some one that will freight from sheparton area to perth let me no. And it will be shipped not running. I'll keep posting my progress. And I'll have to start taking some pics for u guys

Freight is sorted, seats, console lid and sun visors are getting done in vic before freight... Save spending mega $$$ in perth.
Front end kit, springs and shockers ordered. I'm on the look out for a yellow needle gts dash, any one know if the rares repo hz facias got any better yet?

Pano has been in perth for a bit now. I found a lil time to sand a few problem areas down and I'm pretty impressed with the body. Best cowl panels (under windscreen) I've seen in a while.
There is a few dodgy bog over rust bits. But I'll sort that out soon.
I've also swaped out the chassis with another I had laying around so I can reco the original and paint the body with out worrying about paint on chassis.
