Hi, came across a long abandoned and on its roof Barbados green HQ ute out in the bush near a (actual)water hole where the local indigenous congregate in outback WA.
As soon as I saw it I was straight over there thinking sandman!!
However it was a column shift 6 with a KPH only speedometer. Still cool though, after clearing broken glass and any flora that may house any snakes etc, I crawled under the upturned Q to investigate the tags, was impressed by the colour coded model tag, and after seeing no XX7 and a seating capacity of 3, I relaxed a little and then drilled out the rivets for trophies, the others stained by the WA Red dirt.
Was interested by the late build date of 8/74 and the body number, must've been one of the last, could just see it on the line with a sandman on either side of it lined up for a coat of Barbados green!!!
I'm sure you lot will enjoy these tags too if you are reading this.
And yes there were around 20 upturned cars there, about 8 were early holdens and 2 HX has factory aircon that we stripped out also, so much easier on their rooves with your legs out the windscreen opening!!

Oh I'm not sure how to add the pic from I phone here, will try later
