Only earlier examples had the GTS's fascia, it was across HJ if U17 optioned. Even Premier got the silver fascia with the rest woodgrain.

Yes, the plates have been removed, the colour has been changed, as you probably know the original colour was Absyinth yellow, I am trying to decide if I should return it to yellow, what do you think??
Do you know where I can get the original shifter ??

    Thanks Valencia and Robbo.
I intend to start on it very shortly and take it to the next level, will look and go real good when finished. I have had it for 13 years and kept in a shed under cover and beleive it or not , never used it, has 174000 klms on the odometer.

174,000 is pretty rare for any HJ I would imagine! I still wonder who got the HZ that turned up a couple of years back with 998ks on it http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/n...626-20zm3.html (This links already on the site somewhere of course but its a quick read and a feel good).
Got me wondering if a registerable H series Holden with 999,990 ks on it could ever be worth more than one with 174,000? Lol!

Looks like a pretty straight ute, are you keeping the bumpers body colour?

If you paint it Absinthe are you going to keep the flat tonneau? Or go back to the original?
Looks like an easy project that ute. Looks good.
