Best bet is to leave them alone if possible, but you could have a go with a toothbrush and some fine polish like Jif or Toothpaste or Brasso, but it is unlikely the BODY plate will clean up - these are always corroded on Elizabeth bodies. You are better off leaving them and their rivets alone though.

I see, yeah I'd never touch the rivets but I will give them a light clean and polish. I'll be gental!!
    Cheers

Nice one Swanny, Beautiful combo, mechanically and colour wise. See Mick's sandman build in HJ for a similar one

I have to agree. Performance wise the HJ 308 4spd is the highest performance of all Sandmans (only the 3.55:1 rear axle optioned example would be quicker accelerating). You've got one of the best colour - trim combos going in 1916-19V, and it is on a later HJ XX7 so although you don't get the luxury of XX7 being on the tag as per an Acacia Ridge body at least you have the de-rated GVW which is a good indicator of Sandman.

Cheers mate, I did search Micks Sandman but could only see the "profile pic" similar to yours, I clicked on photos but nothing recent came up. I'm still learning how to get around, any links that could take me to some more pics?

They would have been near each other at Elizabeth and probably on the same train carriage but many days apart through Pagewood's assembly plant as their PSN's are near to 900 apart. I've also got 194317-A which is far closer to Rockape's in PSN.
