There were more than 30 sandmans at the van nats and more likely to be 35 to 40 if you checked ever van
I believe there were more than 242 van entered in the Nationals with a few that didn't turn up it was a great even and well organised

This is the van I chose for best modified Sandman. It is a corker.

Love it. Best van there in my opinion. My mate is building a HD van after being inspired by this one a while back. His is to be Silver Mink with HK GTS inspired stripes and red trim.
I think it is Lismore grey. You're right though it does look Seagull in some light.
Mark Ivy owned the HR "Bad Ass" and made it's debut at the '91 Van Nats from memory. It blew us away back then. Since sold and renamed Iron Man with the addition of murals.
Yeah one of my favourites for sure as it fits my love for early Holden's and also Vanning. The HD with HK striping sounds cool will look forward to seeing than.
