We will see how soft the sentence is. The Anita Cobby murderers were sentenced to "never be released". I don't have much faith in the truth-in-sentencing laws either especially with criminals like Bilal Skaf having their sentences reduced from 55 years to 31 in the appeals court.
I still cant condone that an eye-for-an-eye and state murder is justified in a christian country. We need to be better than that. We glance horrified at the videos of executions in the middle east enacting Biblical time punishments especially in Saudi Arabia removing a woman's head on a road crossing after dragging her through the streets. This is the result of their state based executions. I cant see there is anyway to kill someone humanely.
Lock them up in a stainless steel box in Goulburn super-max.
