Even though a HX 1977 deauville blue sandman would be great to have again, I had to way up the amount of money that is asked for an original and then battle to keep it original over adding modification so I found it was a lot easier to find a roadworthy van in great condition and at about 1/3 of the price. A HZ WN plated with all the Sports GTS gear and modify to my own tastes. During 70’s the van craze most vans were modified. Like all the old classics cars you have to admirer the owners that prefer to keep and maintain an original. In the context of a clean completed original the price of a around $30,000 it is not asking to much. The cost to bring a van back to its original state and to maintain it in that condition has been brought up on this site many times.
