Assembly plants rarely ever fitted that sort of stuff, dealership had to do it. It would only ever happen with special order cars which this one can't be as it would have a NSW zone office code. I don't think it had steer on it, if it did it will probably be dealer fit too. It was completed I think 23/5 and with a delivery of 9/6 this is consistent with enough time there to get the panels changed. I'd say Young and Green grabbed it off the schedule and it was delivered to them by the end of May and they took a week to make the mods.

Maybe ask your uncle if he has the broadcast sheet from the car, it would show the nose panel if it was assembly plant fitted.
